ContestManager is a standalone application designed to aid Contest Directors in keeping track of points at a National Association of Rocketry (NAR) contest. The major goal of this project is to relieve many of the tedious computational tasks such as altitude data reduction and NAR points tabulation. It is currently available for Windows (95 or later), Solaris, Linux, and any other platform that supports Java 1.7. Java can be downloaded separately here.
The National Contest Board has approved ContestManager files as official results. What this means to Contest Directors is that you no longer need to mail flight cards to your Regional Contest Board Chair. You still need to send in the Points Award Sheet and CB-170 forms, however, to get all of the official signatures.
The current version is 2.5.3 and includes the following changes:
The prior major version was 2.5.0 and included the following changes:
The various installer packages always caused me grief in the past, so I have gone with a more
basic approach for version 2.5. Now, everyone just uses the same zip file. Extract it wherever
you want, and in most cases double-clicking ContestManager.jar will get you going. If that
doesn't work for you, send me an email. Java is still required, at least version 7.
