Detailed Information on NARHAMS Events

Sport Launch - Old National Pike Park

 Sport launches are held on the third Saturday of every month, weather permitting. Anyone who wants to fly is welcome. We usually get started about 10 am and fly until 4 pm. Launch controller and pads are provided for low power flights off 1/8" and 3/16" rods. Mid power equipment is occasionally available, so if you need 1/4" or larger, consider bringing your own pad. Site is currently limited to G impulse.

Public Launches - Goddard Space Flight Center

 Public launches are held on the first Sunday of every month, weather permitting, at the Goddard Space Flight Center Visitor Center in Greenbelt, MD. Anyone who wants to fly is welcome. Due to the limited recovery area, no multi-stage models or motors larger than D power.

Club Meetings - College Park Airport

 Club business meetings are held on the first Saturday  of every month. Anyone who wants to attend is welcome, but only current members may vote on actions. Meetings start at 5:30 pm with a building session or discussion until 8 pm. Then the real business gets taken care of until 9-10 pm. Any leftover items get discussed over a late dinner at Ledo's.

AIAA Demo Launch

The annual AIAA picnic and launch will be held at the Goddard Visitor Center on October 1, starting at 11 am.

Rockville Consortium of Sciences

The Rockville Consortium of Sciences is an annual science fair type of exhibit, held at the Rockville campus of Montgomery Community College. We host a building session starting at noon for up to 20 kids, who build Alpha IIIs, then launch them at 4 pm. Club members attending should plan to arrive by 10 am to help with setup.

ECRM-34 Regional Meet

ECRM-34 will be held as a regional meet on April 21-22, 2007. Contestant fee is $10 for A and B Divisions, $15 for C Division, and $20 for Teams. If you attend the picnic on Sunday, that is an additional $5. Trophies will be awarded to first place finishers in each division, and ribbons to 2nd through 4th places. Events are:
